Class management
Roles & permissions
Every class member has a role that determines what they can do. By default every parent joins as a Parent. People running the class can be given one of three administrative roles: owner, administrator or moderator.
Owner — the person who created the class. Has full control: everything an administrator can do, plus actions reserved for them alone:
- grant and revoke the administrator role,
- transfer ownership of the class to another member,
- close (delete) the entire class.
Administrator (Admin) — runs the class day to day. Can do everything a moderator can, and in addition:
- change class settings (name, birth year),
- create, send and delete class invitations,
- manage members — approve, remove and assign the moderator role,
- view the children list and the class billing and payment settings,
- export the class budget.
Moderator — keeps the class content tidy:
- creates and pins announcements,
- manages the calendar, events and lesson schedule (bells, weekly grid, substitutions),
- runs discussions — creates categories and manages threads,
- moderates content: hides, restores and deletes posts, and resolves reports.
Children's birth year
When you create a class you can set the children's birth year — the year the children who legally belong in this class were born (e.g. class "3B" with birth year 2017). The birth year is shown next to the class name, making it easier to find the right class when joining.
You can view and change the birth year in Class Settings. It also lets two same-named classes for different cohorts coexist in the same school — e.g. "3B 2016" and "3B 2017" — for instance when the owner of "3B 2016" hasn't yet renamed it to "4B" after the summer.
Renaming a class
The admin can rename the class in Class Settings. All members receive an e-mail notification.
At the end of the school year, rename the class to the next grade number (e.g. "2B" → "3B"). It's best to do this right after the year ends, so new parents joining land in the correct class.
Transferring ownership
The class owner can transfer their role to another member.
- 1Go to Class Settings → "Transfer admin privileges".
- 2Select the person from the class member list.
- 3The recipient receives a confirmation e-mail.
- 4After they accept, they become the owner and you remain an administrator.
Leaving the class / removing a child
Remove your child via "My children". When you remove your last child, your account leaves the class.
Second parent (co-parent)
Assign a second parent to each child. They receive an invitation and get access without paying.
- 1Go to "My children" in settings.
- 2Click "Invite second parent" next to the chosen child.
- 3Enter their e-mail address and send the invitation.
- 4The second parent receives an e-mail with a link to log in or register.
- 5Once accepted, the second parent has access to the class and child.
- 6You can revoke the invitation or remove access at any time.
Offline parents
Not every parent in a class uses the app right away. The class owner or an administrator can add such a parent and their child as an offline parent — the child appears on class lists (fees, events, and so on) from day one, and the class roster stays complete.
- 1Go to Class members → "Offline parents" section → "Add offline parent".
- 2Enter the parent's name and add at least one child.
- 3The e-mail address is optional — if you provide it, the parent receives a link to join the class.
Offline parents are marked with an "Offline" badge on the members list. You can edit their details, resend the invitation, or remove the entry at any time.
When the real parent joins
When the parent uses the invitation link and creates an account, the child's profile is automatically assigned to them — nothing needs to be moved manually.
You can also use "Connect to a member" — the offline parent's children are assigned to an existing class member of your choice. This is handy when the parent joined the class on their own before using the invitation.
